Eric Hile

Eric Hile

Weight200 lbs

PositionFlanker, center

NationalityUnited States

Eric joined the Clayton RFC during the club’s first summer and played in the first ever 7s tournament for the Bootleggers. Injuries cost Hile large portions of the 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 seasons as he was only able to appear in 8 games over those two seasons.

Hile has returned to health and become an valuable piece of the club’s improvement on the pitch in the past two seasons. Eric is one of the most versatile Bootleggers and has played almost every position at one time or another. In the past year he’s seen time at hooker, flanker, center, and wing.

Eric is a veteran of the Marine Corps and played rugby in college at the University of Alabama. He also currently serves as the club’s Match Secretary.
