Founded in 2013, the Clayton Rugby Football Club provides sports and social activities to the wider community within Clayton, Johnston County, and the Triangle Region of North Carolina. The Club is a member of USA Rugby and the Carolinas Geographic Rugby Union.

The Clayton RFC is legally recognized as a non-profit organization by the State of North Carolina and has 501(c)3 non-profit status with the Internal Revenue Service.

The Club currently supports players ages 4-55 along with a growing social membership base. The Club’s annual membership currently stands around 110 members. The Club offers playing opportunities for Men’s and Old Boys sides along with an in-house youth flag rugby program. We are extremely proud of the family friendly and inclusive nature of the club.

The Clayton RFC was founded with the goal of rethinking the model of what a rugby club should offer it’s members and what it can provide the community as a whole. While the club actively recruits with the goal of expanding our playing numbers and level of competition, the true measure of the Clayton RFC’s success will be found in how we contribute to our community and how many new people we can introduce to the sport of Rugby Union.

Clayton RFC exists for players of all ages and skill levels. There is a place for every type of player within the club, whether you have never played before or are a seasoned veteran. One of the major goals of the club is to provide a friendly and enjoyable rugby club experience both on and off the pitch.
