The 2025 Toys for Tots Rugby Festival delivered everything we love about grassroots rugby — passion, community, and competition all wrapped into one unforgettable day. From start to finish, the Johnston County Rugby Park was buzzing with energy as teams battled for bragging rights while supporting an incredible cause.
This year’s expanded format brought together Men’s 10s action, the annual Old Boys showdown, and a youth flag rugby clinic, making it one of the most well-rounded rugby days the club has ever hosted. The tries were flowing, the tackles were fierce, and the sportsmanship was on full display from every team that took the field.
Beyond the scoreboard, the real victory came off the pitch. Players, supporters, and families overflowed five large Toys for Tots boxes with hundreds of gifts — the biggest donation haul in the event’s history. An SUV full of canned goods was also collected for the Town of Wilson’s Mills Share Shed.
