The 2025/2026 membership cycle at Clayton Rugby Football Club is right around the corner, and we’re recruiting new players of all skill levels to join our men’s squad. We’re also welcoming new social members! Our non-playing membership has nearly tripled in recent years. These members play a vital role in supporting our teams, events, and creating the warm, welcoming culture we’ve built.
After a rebuilding year, the Bootleggers have continued to grow over the summer and momentum is on our side heading into the fall. Men’s pre-season training starts on August 5th for our Bootleggers as they prepare for the start of the new XVs season.

We’re proud to be one of the few clubs in the region with a purpose-built rugby facility. Our home boasts three fields, including two full-sized international pitches and a multipurpose training field open to the public. No more scrambling for field time or worrying about cancellations. We’ve got a home built for rugby and future plans to make it even better.
Thanks to strong community support, fundraising, and generous sponsors, Clayton RFC is able to offer some of the lowest membership dues in the Carolinas. We’re committed to keeping rugby accessible without compromising on quality or member benefits.
We’ve introduced a new coaching staff with high ambitions. Longtime club members stepped up to lead the men’s side late last season. With fresh energy and commitment, they’re focused on developing talent, building depth, and leading the 1st XV back into playoff contention while rebuilding our 2nd side playing numbers.
Few things in rugby create memories like going on tour and we make it a priority. We’ve toured four times since 2017, and our Spring 2026 tour to the Bahamas is already in the works. Tours are open to players, friends, family, and social members alike. See the rugby world with us!
