After two successful years of golf, fun, and community support, the Scrum’n Scramble Golf Tournament returns for its third year, and registration is now officially open.
Hosted by Clayton Rugby Football Club, this annual fundraiser has quickly become one of the club’s signature events. Every dollar raised helps support the continued growth of grassroots rugby while funding ongoing improvements at the Johnston County Rugby Park, one of the few purpose-built rugby facilities in the Carolinas.
After enduring sweltering heat at the last two golf events, we listened to our participants and found a date not smack dab in the middle of the summer. This year’s tournament will take place on Friday, September 11, 2026, at The Cardinal Country Club in Selma, North Carolina. Teams of four will compete in a traditional 4-person scramble (best ball) format, making it a fun and competitive day for golfers of all skill levels.

The tournament also offers an excellent opportunity for local businesses and organizations to support a growing community nonprofit while gaining exposure to golfers, supporters, and local families.
A variety of sponsorship packages are available, including tournament sponsorships and hole sponsorships. Sponsors receive recognition before, during, and after the event through tournament signage, social media, and promotional materials.
