The Clayton RFC’s Bootlegger Club is a lucky number draw that aims to raise funds to assist with club operations. As a non-profit organization, all of our operational expenses are covered by various fundraising activities throughout the year. Proceeds from The Bootlegger Club will go primarily towards the continued development and maintenance of the Johnston County Rugby park.
How does it work?
The drawing is based on the North Carolina Pick 3. Bootlegger Club members donate $20 per year and are allowed to choose a number between 001-999. The evening drawing of the Pick 3 on the last day of the month determines the winning number for the Bootlegger Club. The amount of the prize is based on the number of people/numbers in the drawing. So, the more people/numbers that are sold, the higher the prize. There is no limit on the amount of numbers that you may purchase to increase your chances. Once we get rolling with The Bootlegger Club we expect that the monthly drawings will be at least $50/month.
If there isn’t a winner the pot carries over to the next month.
The Clayton RFC keeps 50% of the proceeds, so it’s essentially a rolling 50/50 raffle. There are 12 drawings each year. Winning numbers and the recipient will be notified by email and issued a check or Venmo payment for the winning amount. Winners will be posted on this page each month along with a running total on the prize for that particular month.
Why not sign up and help the club raise extra funds? Perhaps take more than one number?
